Higher Ed Unions Join In Call To Stop Consolidation Committee Work

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – CSU-AAUP President Patty O’Neill sent a message recently to all CSU-AAUP members notifying them of a request that was signed by all public higher education union leadership and called for members who serve on various “Students First” Committees to stop work on those committees. In light of this message, CSU-AAUP is asking our members and the public to show solidarity with colleagues and sign a pledge of support for those who choose to withdraw from the consolidation committees. This pledge was drafted by members of the Reluctant Warriors Group and approved by all five public higher education unions. All are welcome to sign the pledge, including groups and organizations. Should academic departments or faculty senates elect to endorse this pledge, they may sign as a group.
