In the fall of each year, Gallo & Robinson, LLC. holds the annual Connecticut Lobbying Conference to help new lobbyists learn how to be effective advocates for their causes and seasoned veterans update their skills.
The Conference begins with a moderated panel of legislative leaders in the Connecticut General Assembly. After the morning panel, you can choose from 12 different workshops that will take place throughout the day.
Please join CSU-AAUP Nov. 13, 2019, for a fascinating presentation of faculty research and a perfect example highlighting the importance of sabbatic leave to our members’ work. CCSU’s Dr. Katherine Hermes will present her work “Recovering Hartford’s Hidden Past: People of Color in Hartford’s Ancient Burying Ground, 1640-1815.” This is part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary research project involving a team of faculty, students, librarians, artists, and computer scientists. Together they discovered the identity and life stories of hundreds of African and Native Americans who may have been buried in the Ancient Burying ground and who, until now, had been forgotten. At the bottom of the Registration form is a “browser” link which should be used to send, as an attachment, your abstract.
Author(s) who would want their paper(s) considered and included in the 2020 FAC Conference Proceedings should submit the final revised version of their paper(s) to the FAC Planning Group by May 8, 2020.
